How we got here

Eleven years, one very slow decision

We met in 2016 queuing for a fire door at a gig neither of us especially wanted to be at. Jae was holding two coats. Rowan was holding a pint of something that had gone warm.

There was a flat in Sheffield, then a dog called Biscuit, then a slightly bigger flat because of the dog. Jae proposed on a walk above Hardcastle Crags in the rain, which is why we are getting married about a mile from that spot.

We would love you to be there. There is a barn, there is a long table, and there is more food than is strictly sensible.

Gifts

Genuinely,
please don't

We have lived together for nine years and own two of most things. If you would like to mark the day somehow, here are three ideas we would actually be pleased about.

Come to the wedding

Several of you are travelling a long way and staying over. That is the gift.

The honeymoon fund

We are going to Portugal in September. Contributions go towards that, not towards a toaster.

Openhands, Leeds

Jae has volunteered there for six years. A donation there means more to us than anything wrapped.
